Established for more than a century, this lovely and remote lodge has a unique setting
amongst the ancient rainforests of the West Coast. It continues to provide excellent
cuisine and accommodation for anglers, and for those exploring the surrounding
National Parks.

Lake Brunner Lodge nestles into its special setting of ancient rain forest and towering
mountains, and has a superb outlook over the Lake. First established in 1868, the Lodge’
s polished timber panelling, log fires, book lined library, snug bar, and comfortable
guest suites make this a lovely place to stay. A private family owned Fishing Lodge
(nowadays equally focussed on the environment) its traditions include warm relaxed
hospitality and fine table d’hôte cuisine. Many guests return each year, and most stay
more than a few days.

double or twin share.

Local Attractions The local spring creeks, rivers and lakes have made this Lodge a
world famous trophy brown trout fishing destination. Lake Brunner Lodge has provided
for the travelling angler since the turn of the century, and has an excellent guiding
service available. Lodge guests have access to local knowledge to assist them discover
the surrounding ancient rainforest and National Parks. Special features are subalpine
landscapes, exceptional limestone (Karst) land and seascapes, rare birds, nephrite jade,
gold mining history, wonderful whitebait, walking trails, canoe and 4wd trips, float
plane services and many other interests.
