This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuta, a magnificent cluster of 36 domes. Enjoy the opportunity to join a walk into Walpa (Olga) Gorge, where some of the plants are so rare that they are only found here. Stop and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the ever changing colors of Uluru. Overnight: Voyages Ayers Rock Resort, Outback Pioneer (standard), Desert Gardens (first class) or Sails in the Desert (deluxe) DAY 2: ULURU—KINGS CANYON Rise early and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee as the day’s first light strikes Uluru. Take a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole to see ancient cave paintings. Tour the base of Uluru and learn about the geology and flora of the region on the Mala Walk. Explore Kantju Gorge, then visit the Cultural Center and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative to see Aboriginal artists at work. Or forgo the Guided Mutitjulu & Mala walks to climb Uluru (subject to weather/cultural conditions). This afternoon journey to Kings Canyon.
